An Activity for Preschoolers:
These simple leaf ornaments will delight any class and make for a great craft for chilly autumn days.
Before You Begin:
Place feathers, foam letters, foam leaves, wooden frames, glue and other objects on an activity table..
Activity Goals:
Develop fine motor skills
Exercise creativity
Furthermore:
You can write students’ names on the back of each ornament with a black permanent marker.
Let's Get Started
STEP 1
Roll clay out to about a ¼” thickness. Cut into a 3.5” circle. Poke a hole towards the edge of the circle with a pencil.
STEP 2
Gently press a fabric leaf into the clay.
STEP 3
Paint watercolor over the top and allow to dry.
STEP 4
Once dry, poke a pipe cleaner through the hole and hang around the classroom to create a festive fall atmosphere.
