An Activity for Preschoolers:

This insect lifecycle activity gets two colorful thumbs up!

Before You Begin:

Gather stamp pads, art paper and markers or crayons. You'll also want to collect pictures or illustrations of insect lifecycles.

Activity Goals:

To understand and recreate insect lifecycles.

Furthermore:

Be sure to provide stamp pads in several colors, as well as ample supplies for children to complete their artworks. You might even provide collage materials for children to add an extra dimension to their insects!


Let's Get Started

STEP 1

Show children pictures of insect lifecycles.

STEP 2

Have children recreate the lifecycles shown by pressing their thumbs or fingers into the stamp pads and then onto art paper.

STEP 3

Let the child complete their insects using crayons or markers.
