Watercolor Resist Leaves

An Activity for School-age:

Children will be fascinated as they discover that watercolors wash over and don’t cling to where they drew the leaves with crayons.

Before You Begin:

Set up paper, crayons, watercolor sets and glue on an activity table.

Activity Goals:

To introduce children to the concept of wax-resist.

Furthermore:

Expand the activity by creating wax-resist images that represent additional seasons.
