Before You Begin:

Gather the following materials to create this unique landscape: construction paper, washable paint, poms, markers and glue.

Activity Goals:

To learn about a common landscape in South America using our hands.

Furthermore:

We can learn a lot about other cultures by observing their geography. You may wish to discuss with children what kinds of plants, animals or scenes they would use to depict where they live.


Let's Get Started

STEP 1

Using washable paint, make a green handprint in the center of a piece of paper to create a cactus.

STEP 2

Once dry, add a sun, other landscape details, and bright poms to represent cactus flowers.
